About The Position

If so, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBank) invites you to apply for our 2026 Summer Internship Program ! We’re looking for well-rounded, motivated students to join us for a 10-week paid internship where you’ll gain hands-on experience, build your professional network, and develop valuable skills in a dynamic business environment. What You’ll Experience As a Legal Intern at FHLBank, you’ll: Provide broad, general support to the FHLBI Legal team Assist bank attorneys across various practice areas, including: Member services (e.g., membership, credit, lending, and collateral issues) Vendor management (e.g., contract review and negotiation) Corporate governance (e.g., support for Board of Directors matters) Contribute to specialized legal projects as assigned by the General Counsel Apply strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate across teams Contribute to meaningful projects that align with your field of study Gain exposure to the finance and banking industry Participate in team-building activities, a group project, a community service event, and professional development sessions (including dining etiquette!)

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Juris Doctor (JD) program
  • Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
  • Work well independently and in team settings
  • Are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to solve problems

Nice To Haves

  • Undergraduate degree in Business is a plus
