About The Position

The City Bar Justice Center is seeking motivated law school students for its Summer 2025 Internship Program. This internship provides an opportunity for students to engage in meaningful legal work while supporting communities facing systemic barriers. Interns will work under the supervision of experienced attorneys, gaining hands-on experience in various legal projects and enhancing their skills in client interaction, legal document preparation, and research.

Requirements

• Current law school student with a commitment to social justice and legal advocacy.
• Strong organizational skills and effective oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or coursework related to civil legal services or social justice issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client intake and assist in drafting legal documents.
• Help at legal clinics and draft research memos.
• Assist with tasks necessary to run an efficient, client-centered legal services office.
• Participate in informal 'Pro Bono Hour' presentations to learn about various Justice Center projects.
• Engage in professional development and networking opportunities.
