About The Position

The ACLU of Georgia welcomes legal externs for the fall semester. Legal Externs must be in law school and will be expected to commit approximately 20 hours per week to the externship. Legal Externs will be expected to perform legal research, draft legal memoranda, and potentially legal briefs and other documents, and be otherwise available to support the ACLU of Georgia’s litigation activities. The externship is designed for those who are interested in pursuing a career in public interest litigation. Applicants should have strong research, writing, and communication skills and a demonstrated interest in civil liberties and civil rights.

Requirements

  • Must be in law school
  • Commit approximately 20 hours per week to the externship
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated interest in civil liberties and civil rights
  • Submit a resume and cover letter highlighting your interest in this externship

Responsibilities
