Responsibilities

  • Fosters open and frequent communication with teammates to ensure smooth and expeditious support to assigned lawyers.
  • Provides superior client service with internal and external clients displaying a proactive, 'can do' attitude.
  • Acts as the gatekeeper prioritizing conflicting needs and handles matters confidentially and independently.
  • Demonstrates intimate knowledge of assignment’s work habits and preferences, anticipating needs.
  • Develops strong understanding of assigned lawyer’s practice and clients, maintaining professional relationships.
  • Efficiently reconciles and processes expenses, reviewing and classifying business and personal expenses.
  • Actively manages timekeepers’ diaries and ensures timely submission of billing entries.
  • Composes, edits and proofreads correspondence, presentations and other documents.
  • Proactively coordinates internal/external meetings and arranges logistics based on meeting requirements.
  • Applies best practices when arranging travel and monitors lawyer’s travel preferences.
  • Proactively coaches lawyers to delegate non-billable tasks to their LEA.
  • Demonstrates an exceptional understanding of Microsoft Outlook and manages multiple calendars.
  • Monitors attorney’s inbox and organizes client/matter related documents.
