About The Position

This position exists to review, edit, and audit summaries, headnotes and other annotations created by Generative AI processes for caselaw documents, following established guidelines; quickly and accurately identify legal issues and determine the precedential impact to cases and statutes cited within opinions; apply appropriate history and treatment letters/phrases based on approved guidelines.

Requirements

• JD, LLB or LLM Degree
• Excellent analysis, research and writing skills
• Ability to work independently, yet ask questions when appropriate
• Effective reading comprehension skills and ability to quickly identify issues
• Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines
• Flexibility necessary to adapt to changing business demands
• Cultural awareness and ability to work across businesses and time zones
• Ability to work in an ambiguous and continuously changing environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work at home

Responsibilities

• Review value-added content created by Generative AI processes and compare it to original case text to ensure it accurately reflects key rules of law, significant facts, and important holdings.
• Edit content created by Generative AI processes to ensure it meets pre-defined customer criteria.
• Create original summaries and other value-add features for caselaw content where needed, using PC-based tools and software.
• Make decisions on complex legal editorial /analysis issues.
• Ensure the timeliness and quality of completed summaries, annotations, history and letter treatments.
• Other job duties as assigned by Editorial Manager.
