About The Position
As a Legal Counsel on our Legal team, you will support the company’s growing business in a generalist role, and provide additional support as we scale. As a team member of an innovative insurance intermediary involved in transactions across the globe, the Legal Counsel will work cross-functionally with the sales, partner services, insurance, marketing, compliance, and product teams to apply their expertise and practical advice. To drive success in this role, you will have keen legal sense and a proficiency in contracting and negotiations, honed through at least two years in the legal field post-graduation from law school. The best candidates for this role will be a licensed attorney in the State of California. Regular collaboration with sales, insurance and operations teams will be key in ensuring optimal performance is achieved. This is a hybrid role, which requires in-office attendance Monday, Tuesday and Friday at our California offices in San Francisco. Cover Genius is a global company, and as such this role requires occasional flexibility for international calls outside of traditional business hours.
