About The Position

The Legal Compliance Operations Manager at DoorDash is responsible for enhancing operational efficiency within the Legal Department. This role involves managing people, projects, and processes to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards. The manager will lead a team, oversee workflows, and collaborate with various departments to drive improvements and implement technology solutions in legal operations.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in pre-law or business fields.
• 8+ years of progressive legal process support experience in fast-moving environments.
• 1-2 years of experience in a people management role.
• Extraordinary written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in reading and responding to subpoenas, garnishments, liens, or unemployment claims.
• Strong project management experience with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Google Workplace, Slack, MacOS, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with business intelligence tools like Mode, Sigma, and Tableau.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with alternative legal service providers and/or BPO Teams.
• Interest in staying updated on industry trends and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Senior Legal Operations Manager and counsel to shape legal and state agency response processes.
• Directly manage an internal team of 4 Legal Operations Analysts and 1 Team Lead.
• Oversee DoorDash's BPO Team, maintaining strategic relationships and negotiating rates.
• Build and drive the adoption of new workflow automation and business intelligence technology.
• Scale and innovate existing legal compliance processes.
• Partner with Legal Data Engineering, Security, and IT to execute data and technology projects.
• Oversee daily operations and prepare data in response to legal requests.
