This position is designed to provide hands-on experience to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards of the organization, allowing an opportunity for individuals to apply what they have learned in a classroom environment while gaining new skills in a dynamic professional setting. Candidates will assist members of the Compliance team with key objectives, initiatives, and projects. This role requires critical attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, self-motivation, and resourcefulness to identify potential issues, ask good questions, research and investigate options, and work collaboratively to identify and implement workable solutions.

  • Support the overall function and business objectives, including researching new or revised regulations and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Communicate changes and participate in periodic audits and compliance reviews.
  • Partner with the team, attend meetings, and work on cross-functional teams.
  • Help implement solutions by reviewing data and communicating clearly to stakeholders.
  • Assist with business cases, organizing requirements, and translating requirements analysis.
  • Drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests, and manage a project's scope.
  • Participate in the preparation of regulatory filings and/or forms.
  • Working towards a relevant degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the desire to learn.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in business, Law, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
