Legal Clerk, Mailer–E-Filer
About The Position
eWord Solutions is looking for legal clerks to join our team. We seek candidates who can use the MerusCase case-management to prepare legal documents for mailing and e-filing in Electronic Adjudication Management System (EAMS) system. Ideal candidates will have excellent computer and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communications. Candidates with prior experience in California workers' compensation are encouraged to apply; all qualified candidates will be considered.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 3 years experience of uploading documents into Merus
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
- Positive attitude
- Resourcefulness, creativity, and problem-solving skill set
- Familiarity with office equipment (i.e., computers, phone system, printers)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially MS Word)
Nice To Haves
- Candidates with prior experience in California workers' compensation are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Research – Locate specific documents required for e-filing and mailing
- Liaise – Collaborate with the office manager or attorney as required for particular cases
- Facilitate – Make necessary corrections and upload formatted documents into Merus
- Print – Print formatted documents to be e-filed and mailed
- E-File – File formatted documents with EAMS
- Upload – Submit the e-file packet to Merus
- Transfer – Transfer the printed documents to the mailing department for distribution
