OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and proactive Legal Billing & Support Specialist Contractor (part-time) to assist our busy in-house legal team for 20 hours per week. This position requires exceptional critical-thinking skills, multitasking abilities, attention to detail, technical competency, and a comprehensive understanding of legal and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in helping the legal team operate smoothly and efficiently to achieve daily and long-term goals within our corporate office.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years at a law firm or in-house legal environment.
• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Must possess the confidence to work and devise solutions independently, and be willing to take initiative and identify process improvements.
• Technology-savvy and an expert in the Microsoft Office Suite
• Meticulous with details and organization.
• High-level of discretion vital in working closely with confidential and sensitive information of the Company.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Simple Legal/CounselGo billing platform preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage legal vendors and matters within Simple Legal, our e-Billing platform, to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and requirements, including but not limited to:
• Reviewing and approving invoices
• Validation of proper coding
• Generating spend reports
• Collaborating with regional billing specialists and outside counsel, and
• Working closely with internal accounting to ensure timely payments
• Assist the legal team with additional projects and tasks as needed.
