About The Position

This role enhances attorney effectiveness by providing high-level litigation support and ensuring the efficient operation of the Probate Litigation and Family Law practice groups. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented, with demonstrated experience in case file management, scheduling & calendaring, discovery support, and trial preparation. This position will be based in our Downtown Tampa office.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant in litigation, ideally within probate litigation, or family law
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office 365 and document management systems, iManage experience helpful
  • High school diploma required
  • Proven experience in case management, discovery coordination, and trial preparation
  • Strong knowledge of court filing procedures (both electronic and in-person)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple matters
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Highly organized and deadline-driven
  • Team-oriented with a commitment to excellent customer service

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain litigation case files, including e-filing and handling voluminous discovery
  • Draft, format, and proofread pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence
  • Assist with hearing, mediation, and trial preparation
  • Coordinate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional and helpful manner
  • Schedule and calendar deadlines, hearings, depositions, and trial-related events
  • Ensure accurate entry and organization of all case documents in the firm’s document management system iManage
  • Navigate court rules and filing procedures related to probate litigation, and family law matters
  • Support conflict checks and new matter intake processes
