Position Overview We are seeking a Full-Time, In-Office Legal Assistant to support our attorneys and paralegals with daily administrative and case‑related tasks. They will be responsible for carrying out administrative services and providing support to the legal team. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable handling a variety of responsibilities.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of legal assistant experience in a Florida‑based law firm
  • Strong understanding of family law terminology, procedures, and court filings
  • Ability to conduct basic legal research using tools such as LexisNexis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software such as Clio Manage
  • Strong clerical skills, including typing, filing, record‑keeping, and document preparation
  • Proficient in data entry and document management systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in the office Monday–Friday

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, including making copies, scanning, filing, and organizing case materials.
  • Handle mail, document requests, and general office tasks as needed.
  • Support attorneys with any additional tasks required to keep cases on track.
  • Attend client meetings with attorneys when needed.
  • Compile and gather relevant information for cases.
  • Discovery review and organization.
  • Maintain and update physical and digital client files, ensuring all documentation is organized and accessible.
  • Perform data entry to update case information in document management systems.
  • Manage legal documentation and correspondence with strict confidentiality.
  • Prepare correspondence and coordinate follow‑up as needed.
  • Assist when needed with managing attorney calendars, scheduling appointments, meetings, and court hearings, and track all deadlines and hearing dates.
  • Assist in preparation for trials, hearings, and depositions.
