About The Position

We are seeking a proactive and organized Legal Assistant to support a small law firm in Griffin, GA. The ideal candidate will have legal experience and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. This role requires someone who can work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing a variety of tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant legal training or certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a legal office is preferred, in medical malpractice or personal injury law.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic legal software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on empathy and client interaction.
  • Ability to work independently in a small office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with case management and preparation litigation.
  • Organize and maintain case files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct basic legal research and gather necessary documentation.
  • Draft simple legal documents and correspondence as needed.
  • Utilize technology for scheduling appointments and managing the attorney’s calendar.
  • Communicate empathetically with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including filing and scanning documents to support office operations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
