About The Position

As a part of our team, you'll rely on your prior experience to provide administrative support to our attorneys through preparation of legal documents and correspondences, such as motions and pleadings. Experience using an electronic case management system - while not required - will help while managing attorney calendars, scheduling and coordinating examination(s) for defense experts, and communicating with clients regarding relevant aspects of the case. Among other things, you'll spend time maintaining files, answering phone calls, along with other assigned administrative duties. This is a hybrid position with occasional travel to an office for meetings and/or training. Candidates must reside within a reasonable driving distance of the office they support.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/ GED equivalent or higher
  • One year prior legal work experience in a business or legal environment supporting a professional team.

Nice To Haves

  • First-party homeowners insurance experience
  • Time management and organizational skills required to provide support to a large group of professionals
  • Typing skills with special attention to grammar and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining highly confidential information
  • Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys through preparation of legal documents and correspondences.
  • Manage attorney calendars and schedule examinations for defense experts.
  • Communicate with clients regarding relevant aspects of the case.
  • Maintain files and answer phone calls.
  • Perform other assigned administrative duties.
