About The Position

Duane Morris LLP, a global law firm with 900+ attorneys in offices across the U.S. and around the world, offers innovative solutions to the legal and business challenges presented by today's evolving global markets. Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs a variety of secretarial and administrative duties for legal professionals in our Health Law Practice with a focus on operational excellence and customer service.

Requirements

  • High School diploma with 3+ years of related legal assistant experience required
  • Must have an understanding of Federal and local court rules and procedures (including electronic filing)
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Familiarity with licensing applications a plus
  • Must have strong technical skills and have the ability to master new systems/applications quickly
  • Prior experience with large firm billing software experience preferred
  • Experience working with a document management system preferred
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Interested in candidates that possess excellent written/verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining client and case files
  • Drafting correspondence, memoranda, pleadings and other legal documentation
  • Calendar management including scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings
  • Maintaining and updating internal document management system
  • Providing case support and project assistance
  • Preparing travel itineraries and coordinating travel logistics
  • Processing expense reports and check requests
  • Scanning, copying, and maintaining incoming and outgoing mail flow
  • Other duties as assigned
