Department OverviewMcDonald’s Corporate, Securities & Governance (“CSG”) Legal Team is a strong group of professionals who work collaboratively with teams across the business advising and counseling on a variety of matters, including securities regulation, executive compensation, and corporate governance topics. We are looking for a dynamic individual to support the Corporate, Securities & Governance (“CSG”) team, including the Associate General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, within the McDonald’s legal function.

Requirements

  • Prior executive or legal assistant experience.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, particularly with senior leadership and other executives.
  • Leader in the use of technology, including software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, and DocuSign.
  • Ability to excel in a digital workplace.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task; effectively prioritize work and adhere to deadlines in a proactive manner.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Diligence and follow through.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Professionalism, adaptability, and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination with the CSG team to support activities for our executives and members of our Board of Directors
  • Extensive calendar management in Microsoft Outlook, including scheduling of in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Coordinating and executing established processes in support of the Company’s various securities law obligations (e.g., insider list, due diligence inquiries, quarterly SOX sub-certifications).
  • Typing, proofreading, copying, and distributing correspondence and legal documents.
  • Developing and maintaining digital filing systems.
  • Sending and replying to requests, correspondence and e-mails, including those from executives both inside and outside the company.
  • Handling invoices and accruals.
  • Reconciling and submitting expense reports.
  • Receiving and providing assistance to visitors.
  • Supporting extensive travel itineraries.
  • Maintaining supplies.
