Tubman is seeking a temporary Legal Advocate to join a collaborative team to support the agency’s mission, vision and values. This position will primarily provide services in Washington County. The position would be 24-32 hours a week This position is designed to ensure that agency clients, including victims of interpersonal violence, receive advocacy and support at criminal court hearings, while also contributing to the legal services program outcomes and the mission of the agency. The Legal Advocate provides clients with information and support regarding the court processes, safety planning, and provides legal professionals input regarding domestic cases either with the client or on the client’s behalf. This position will also assist in providing resources and referrals. Legal Advocates often assist in mentoring volunteers and interns proprofessionals'viding advocacy services. This position also maintains professional partnerships with judges, attorneys, law enforcement, and other legal/judicial court personnel. Why work for Tubman?
