About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Outside Sales Representative to support and grow our Legal Advertising division. This position is responsible for managing key accounts, preparing sales and billing reports, coordinating with publication partners, and maintaining strong client relationships—particularly within the trustee and legal services industries. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, and comfortable working with data and reporting tools. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in outside sales, account management, or legal advertising preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PDF tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Comfortable with phone-based payments and collections.
  • Self-starter capable of both independent and collaborative work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with legal or trustee industry clients is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Account Reporting & Management
  • Prepare and maintain monthly advertising sales reports for major publications such as Metropolitan News-Enterprise, LA Bulletin, and Orange County Register.
  • Organize and manage account data in Excel for a diverse client portfolio, including companies such as ASAP, NPP, STOX, Insource Logic, Quality Loan, Better Choice, Prestige P&P, LegalZoom, Legalinc, AI Lean, Attorney Services, Superior Default Services, and First Corp Solutions.
  • Calculate and document payment breakdowns (15% / 25%) for specific accounts like Elite Posting and Publishing, Innovative Field Services, and Superior Default Services.
  • Process and facilitate monthly payments via phone as needed.
  • Client Communication & Support
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries listed under divisions 1122 and 1126.
  • Handle incoming calls related to invoices, notices, or general service questions; resolve issues quickly and professionally.
  • Make outbound collection calls and send proofs or corrected notices as needed.
  • Proofread legal advertising notices before publication to ensure accuracy.
  • Sales Operations & Outreach
  • Distribute bulk sales recording reports, convert them to PDF format, and send to key recipients such as Henry Chang at Sun Doc.
  • Build and maintain a database of attorneys who publish probate notices with Met-News; conduct outreach to assess satisfaction and identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain strong, ongoing communication with United Trustees Association (UTA) clients to support long-term relationships within the trustee industry.
  • Event Planning & Representation
  • Coordinate DJC’s participation in the UTA Annual Conference as a Silver Sponsor:
  • Register the company booth and submit attendee lists.
  • Prepare and submit marketing materials (flyers, logos, promotional content).
  • Procure and organize giveaways, gift cards, and raffle prizes for the event.
