Bay Area Legal Services is seeking to fill a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant position on their St. Petersburg Team. This position is split between two (2) primary roles - Outreach Coordinator & Legal Administrative Assistant. Coordinates, arranges, and conducts educational programs and special events that support, strengthen and engage the community and develop relationships. These programs also fulfill requirements of grants assigned to the Team. Assists in explaining supportive services, programs and resources available to members of the community. Provides support to attorney(s) by performing administrative duties including tracking and compiling case information, entering specific case information into case management system, running grant reports if needed. Proofreading documents, modifying documents, scheduling meetings, assisting with case information. Handling client calls, logging faxes, correspondence etc. into case files and case management system as required. Assist clients with completion of applications for review and eligibility determination for extended services. Supports staff who are facilitating or directly providing legal services to low income clients.
