About The Position

The Plant Technician position at the Leer Mine Complex involves performing various general labor tasks to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of plant equipment. The role requires working in challenging environmental conditions and operating heavy machinery while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent training and experience.
• Experience in plant control room operation and loadout operation preferred.
• Previous plant or general maintenance experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform general labor tasks including plant washdown and housekeeping.
• Shovel and lift materials as required.
• Walk and check plant equipment daily to ensure proper functioning.
• Assist with all plant repair work as needed.
• Operate heavy equipment when necessary.
• Utilize power tools, air wrenches, grinders, torches, and welders.
• Work at heights and in adverse conditions such as extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance, which is essential for the role.
• Work rotating shifts based on operational needs.
