About The Position

The School of Kinesiology, College of Education and Human Development, University of Minnesota Twin Cities is seeking a dynamic candidate for a non-tenure-track, Lecturer (Academic Professional) position in the area of Sport Management. Specifically, we seek a candidate committed to excellence in teaching and learning whose skills and knowledge can complement current program offerings. The ideal candidate will be able to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the sport management curriculum in at least two of the following areas: Sport Business/Finance, Diversity in Sport, Event and Facility Management, Sport Law. The professional instructional position is teaching focused with additional duties related to undergraduate program leadership, advising graduate student capstones and theses, supervising undergraduate research projects, and service to the department, college, and university. Our sport management academic programs include approximately 200 undergraduate majors in the B.S. program, 80 undergraduate minors, and 60 graduate students in M.Ed., M.A., and Ph.D. programs.
