About The Position
The Department of Communication in the College of Communication and Information at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Communication with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2025. Duties include teaching four courses per semester, with the potential to teach different size classes (small to large lecture). We seek a candidate with teaching experience in sport communication. Classes include Intro to Sport Communication, Social Media and Sport, Sports Analytics, and Sport Industries. Ability to teach general communication courses (persuasion, interpersonal, or organizational communication) is a plus. The nine-month appointment begins formally August 16, 2025, and ends May 15, 2026; however some preparation work will begin Aug. 1, 2025. Initial terms for lecturers are for one year. Appointment may be renewed for additional terms based on departmental needs, funding ability, and candidate performance.
