About The Position

The University of Hawai'i is seeking applicants for the lecturer applicant pool in the field of Risk Management & Insurance. This position is part-time and contingent upon the availability of funds and actual staffing requirements. The selected candidates must be available to teach courses both online and in person, during the day, evening, or weekend as needed.

Requirements

• Master's degree in relevant discipline or CPA for lecturers in Risk Management & Insurance.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in Risk Management & Insurance.
• Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
• Prepare course syllabi and reports related to teaching and student progress.
• Work under supervision of division chair in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in discipline area.
• As needed, work with multi-media presentation, distance education instruction, and teaching at off-campus sites.

Benefits

• Salary: Minimum for Academic Year 2025-2026, $1,911 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.
