The Department of Psychology at the University of Miami invites applications for a full-time instructor to broaden and enhance the undergraduate mission of the Department. Preferred candidates should have a strong background in research methods and statistics. This position is expected to teach a selection of undergraduate courses in (a) research methods and biobehavioral statistics and/or (b) other introductory courses (e.g., Introduction to Psychology, Social Cognitive Psychology, Psychopathology, and / or Developmental Psychology). An ability to teach upper-level undergraduate classes (e.g., Advanced Research Methods, Diversity Issues in Psychology) would also be viewed favorably. The teaching load is 12 credits/units in the fall and 12 credits/units in the spring. Each class meets for three hours per week. The lecturer will prepare class materials, deliver lectures in person at the University's main campus in Coral Gables, grade examinations, and provide office hours to students. Possibility for remote / online courses delivery for a subset of courses. The Department of Psychology is a vibrant, collaborative community that includes clinical and psychological sciences faculty across Adult , Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience , Child , and Health Divisions. The mission of the Department is to acquire, advance, and disseminate knowledge within the Psychological and Biobehavioral Sciences, supported through excellent graduate programs and state-of-the-art facilities.
