About The Position

Lecturer positions in the department carry responsibilities in the areas of teaching. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department. The Department of Nutrition and Food Science (http://www.csuchico.edu/nfsc) in the College of Natural Sciences (http://www.csuchico.edu/nsci/) includes nine full-time faculty, about 30 graduate students, and 160 undergraduate majors and offers programs leading to a bachelor's and master's degree. Its' faculty represent a wide range of interests. Department programs include General Dietetics, Food and Nutrition Communication, and Nutrition Management and are enhanced by laboratories for courses and research in foods, food science, nutrition, and community nutrition. Campus support services, such as a library, distance education facilities, and technology learning and support, are easily accessible. Graduate and undergraduate programs boast high-quality research experiences, exceptional faculty mentoring, and civic and global engagement opportunities. The campus motto, "Today Decides Tomorrow," is brought to life by inclusive pedagogy, experiential learning, and co-curricular programming. Requirements

  • The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is MS In Nutritional Science.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous teaching experience in nutritional science
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential
  • Professional work experience in the field.
