The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in the College of Natural Sciences is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2025-26 academic year. Depending on needs and lecturer qualifications, candidates may be required to teach general chemistry lectures or labs, organic chemistry lectures or labs, or other more advanced courses. Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.

  • Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
  • The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • teaching experience in a variety of chemistry and biochemistry disciplines
  • advanced degrees (MS, EdD, PhD) in chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields.
