About The Position
The Philosophy Department in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2026-27 academic year. We are primarily looking for instructors to teach in person. Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.
Requirements
- The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is a master’s degree in philosophy or a related field.
Nice To Haves
- Preference will be given to candidates with the degree of PhD (or equivalent), teaching experience, and expertise in subjects relevant to the department’s teaching needs.
Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate courses. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
