About The Position

All Honors students complete the Honors Mindset Seminar as their first Honors Learning Experience in the fall semester to which they have been admitted to the Honors Program. This one credit hour course meets for an hour and a half, once a week, for 16 weeks. Topics include: The Dimensions of Honors Learning, theories and strategies of learning, and goal setting. The Honors Program is looking for engaging and motivated Instructional Assistant Professors to teach the Honors Mindset Seminar (HMS). HMS is a 1-hour class designed to introduce first-year Honors students to the Honors Program and to help them develop an Honors Mindset. This is a part-time, non-tenure-track appointment. Multiple positions are available.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher
  • State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
  • Applicants for this position must be authorized to work in the U.S. without ISU sponsorship. Sponsorship for work authorization will not be considered for this position.
