About the position

Emmanuel College is seeking a full-time Lecturer of Economics and Finance who is dedicated to undergraduate teaching excellence. The role involves teaching a variety of courses in economics and finance, mentoring students, and contributing to the academic community. The successful candidate will be expected to integrate ethical considerations into their teaching and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach four undergraduate courses in economics and finance each fall and spring semester.
  • Develop and implement innovative pedagogical approaches that enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Advise and mentor students pursuing careers in economics and finance.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum development.
  • Contribute to the academic community through service on college committees and faculty activities.
  • Stay current with developments in the fields of economics and finance.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Economics and/or Finance; Ph.D. preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching in economics and finance.
  • Ability to teach a variety of courses, including introductory and advanced-level courses.
  • Strong commitment to student success, including mentoring and advising.
