We offer a broad range of continuing education courses aimed at fostering lifelong learning, career development, and personal enrichment. With campuses located throughout Chicago, CCC is committed to equipping students with the skills needed to succeed in their professional and personal pursuits. We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Part-Time Continuing Education Instructors to teach a variety of courses across disciplines including, but not limited to, healthcare, technology, business, arts, youth programs, trades, and personal development. The ideal candidate will possess substantial professional experience in their subject area and demonstrate a passion for facilitating engaging and practical learning experiences.

  • Develop and/or teach courses to meet learning outcomes and promote students' active participation in their own learning.
  • Create an effective learning environment that fosters students' intellectual curiosity and help students' problem-solve using discipline-specific strategies.
  • Employ a variety of formative and summative assessments to ensure that classroom instruction leads to student learning and achievement of learning outcomes.
  • Help students reach their academic, personal, and career goals while fostering a safe environment that respects diversity and encourages confidence in every student's ability to learn.
  • Adhere to City Colleges of Chicago code of ethics, Board rules, and policies.
  • Extensive experience in the subject area(s) to be taught.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to create a positive learning environment and adapt to diverse student needs.
  • Proficiency with technology and instructional tools.
  • Coaching, mentoring, or training experience.
  • Industry certifications related to the course content.
  • Experience developing curricula or training programs.
  • Compensation of $35 an hour, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and the course subject matter.
