About The Position

This job profile is only for faculty members hired to complete a short-term and/or part-time academic work assignment, such as teaching one or more courses for one or two academic terms. The Department of Landscape Architecture, School of Architecture at the University of Virginia seeks applications to fill various non-tenure-track instructional Lecturer positions during the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters. Specialized subject areas of particular need may include, but are not limited to: Studio, Seminar, Lecture, Intensive Short Course, Visualization, and/or Workshop. Qualified incumbents may be hired into one or more of the specialized areas (Undergraduate and/or Graduate Courses). Other duties may include, but are not limited to: organizing guest lectures, course-specific advising, developing or reviewing curricula, advising, guiding students in their research papers, grading, and/or organizing and leading field trips. Requirements

  • A Master's Degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field is required.
  • Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching.
  • The qualified candidate should demonstrate professional and/or academic expertise in the specialized subject area and provide evidence of teaching ability and experience which applies to students' achieving the goals and learning outcomes of the program.
