About The Position

Augusta University's Department of Psychological Sciences is seeking to fill a non-tenure track position at the rank of Lecturer, anticipated to begin August 2026. We seek individuals who can teach Cognitive Psychology, Quantitative Methods, and Research Methods, as well as show a commitment to effective pedagogy for undergraduate and graduate classes. Requirements

• Master's degree in psychology and experience teaching in a college environment.
• Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation;
• Evidence of ability as a teacher;
• Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned;
• Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and,
• Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.

Nice To Haves

• A doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology and experience teaching in a college environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach 8 courses as assigned by the department chair in general introductory level psychology, as well as select upper division undergraduate courses such as Cognitive Psychology, Quantitative Methods, and Research Methods.
• Provide service for the department, college, or university.
