About The Position
The School of Arts and Sciences at Dalton State College invites applicants for a full-time English Lecturer position (10-month), beginning August 1, 2025. Faculty workload at Dalton State College consists of the following five components: (1) teaching, (2) student success, (3) research/scholarship/creative activity or academic achievement, (4) professional service to the institution or community, and (5) professional growth. Teaching and student success is emphasized. This non-tenure-track position involves a 5/4 (27 credit hours during the academic year) and optional Summer School sections as available. Primary courses taught will be ENGL 0999, 1101, and 1102 in face-to-face, hybrid, and streaming modalities, with opportunities for 2000- to upper-division course assignments after the first year for qualified individuals. The candidate may also be required to teach Perspectives 1010, Dalton States first-year experience course. Minimum annual salary for Lecturer of English: $44,000.
