About The Position

The Department of Economics in Dedman College of Southern Methodist University (SMU) invites applications for a non-tenure track Lecturer. We are interested in candidates with teaching expertise and interest in all areas of economics. The position entails a three-year contract with the possibility of renewal and a typical 4-4 teaching load (that includes teaching related departmental activities), and no research requirements. Teaching responsibilities will primarily be undergraduate courses with the possibility of a limited number of masters courses. The successful candidate should be able to teach introductory and intermediate microeconomics and macroeconomics, as well as advanced courses in their area of expertise. We seek an innovative and passionate educator and mentor for undergraduates and graduate students. The SMU Department of Economics is home to an exciting group of research-active scholars, lecturers, and staff. All faculty are dedicated instructors.
