About The Position

The Mechanical Engineering (ME) Department at the University of Nevada, Reno, is seeking to hire a full-time non-tenure track Lecturer I / Lecturer II / Teaching Assistant Professor to support the Aerospace Engineering (AE) Program. A recent $36 million gift from the Gillemot Foundation has enabled the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Nevada, Reno to expand its aerospace research and academic offerings. This investment led to the development of comprehensive degree programs at the bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. levels in Aerospace Engineering, supporting the department’s continued growth and innovation. The University of Nevada, Reno reserves the right to hire at any level of Lecturer (I-IV) or Teaching Assistant/Associate/Professor (terminal degree candidates) that is appropriate for the hire. Requirements

  • Lecturer I – Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or closely related.
  • Lecturer II – Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
  • Teaching Assistant Professor - PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver core Aerospace Engineering courses such as AE structures.
