About The Position
The Finance department at Bentley University is seeking applications for two lecturer positions to begin Fall 2025. We are seeking candidates with experience teaching courses in Finance. We have a strong preference for candidates with the ability to develop and deliver courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels on topics including investments, corporate finance, the role of finance in the clean energy economy, sustainable and impact investing, FinTech, and related topics. The expected course load is 8 courses per academic year. Salary is competitive. The Finance department encourages and values experiential learning and offers an array of courses supporting BS Finance, BS Financial Technology (FinTech) which is offered jointly by the Finance and Computer Information Systems departments, MS Finance (with a STEM designated Financial Analytics Track), and MBA (Finance concentration) degrees at Bentley. The MSF program is highly ranked (fourth among U.S. institutions and forty fourth globally) in the global Masters programs in Finance rankings by Financial Times. We also offer the Advanced Standing in Finance program where some of our top students pursue the BS and MS degrees at Bentley. The department actively engages with students outside the classroom through initiatives and support of student organizations including the Bentley Investment Group, Bentley Sustainable Investment Group, the Lab for Economics, Accounting, and Finance, and the Trading Room at the Hughey Center for Financial Services to name a few examples. The Trading Room offers 24 Bloomberg terminals and subscriptions to FactSet, CapIQ, Morningstar Direct, and Financial Trading Systems (FTS). The Finance department provides strong support for faculty research through summer research grants and Bentley’s subscription to a range of financial data including Factset, IBES, ISS databases, Thompson Reuters, CRSP Mutual Fund, Trace, SDC, to name a few, in addition to standard databases such as CRSP and Compustat. The Finance faculty regularly publish papers in well regarded journals.
