About The Position

EDUC 654: Biliteracy Education II Methodology & Cultural Contexts Position: Lecturer - Academic Year Semester: Spring 2026 Day/Time : Two (2) sessions available: (1) Mondays, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.; (2) Wednesdays, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m Modality : Online - Synchronous virtual instruction College: College of Education, Health & Human Services Department: School of Education The School of Education at California State University San Marcos invites applications for the position of Bilingual Program Lecturer. This lecturer's role supports bilingual teacher candidates through high-quality instruction. The lecturer plays a critical role in ensuring candidates’ progress toward credential and program requirements while maintaining alignment with California Commission on Teacher Credentialing standards. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Per California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.

Requirements

  • A master's/terminal degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field.
  • Proficient in Spanish
  • California Credential matching Program of Interest (Multiple Subject with Bilingual Authorization and Single Subject with Bilingual Authorization)

Nice To Haves

  • A doctorate degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field.
  • Experience with teaching teacher candidates
  • Experience in Dual Language Classrooms
  • Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate intercultural competence and a commitment to serving a diverse campus community as it relates to teaching and, as applicable, service.
