About The Position

Part-time positions teaching introductory physics (lectures and labs) and/or introductory astronomy (lectures and labs) at California State University, East Bay. Teaching assignments may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online. All faculty members are expected to perform their duties within the state of California.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of a M.S. in Physics or Astronomy or other relevant field
  • Ph.D. in Physics or Astronomy is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Teach introductory physics lectures and labs
  • Teach introductory astronomy lectures and labs
  • Conduct courses at various locations including Hayward campus, Concord Center, and online

Benefits

  • Salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience

  • Salary ranges from $5,507 to $15,211 depending on the lecturer range
