About The Position

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is seeking a full-time Lecturer in Corporate/Organizational Communication to begin in August 2025. This position involves teaching undergraduate courses in the Communication Department's Corporate and Health Communication emphasis and coordinating the Graduate Instructional Assistants (GIA) program. The successful candidate will engage in teaching, mentoring, and curriculum development, contributing to the department's mission of promoting student success and inclusivity.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Communication or a related field.
• Previous professional experience in communication or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in public speaking, corporate training, non-profit communication, communication and team building, and leadership.
• Coordinate the Department's Graduate Instructional Assistants (GIA) program, managing and mentoring graduate students serving as teaching assistants.
• Develop professional networks to support the Department's internship program.
• Schedule and manage multiple sections of the basic public speaking course in collaboration with the department chair.
• Regularly review and update the curriculum for the basic public speaking course and design assessment plans.
