CE 310: Introduction to Computer Engineering Laboratory Position: Lecturer - Academic Year Semester: Spring 2026 Days/Times: Mondays, 2:00 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. Modality: In-person College: CSTEM - College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Department: Electrical & Computer Engineering The Electrical & Computer Engineering Department at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Spring 2026 to teach CE 310: Introduction to Computer Engineering Laboratory. The successful candidate will collaborate with the lecture instructor and teach the laboratory portion of the course. Course Description Introduces computer engineering hardware and software tools; prototyping; computer productivity tools such as MATLAB, and Simulink; hardware and software trouble shooting.

  • A master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Teaching experience in an electrical engineering or related class
  • Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California.
  • Working in the State of California is a condition of employment
  • Teaching experience with VHDL or Verilog Programming for Xilinx, or an engineering class
  • Electrical Engineering industry or research experience
  • Experience with ABET reporting
  • Demonstrated commitment to actively engaging undergraduates in the classroom or laboratory through research-informed pedagogical practices.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.
