About The Position

The Lecturer/Assistant Athletic Trainer position in the Department of Kinesiology at UNC Pembroke involves teaching undergraduate courses as assigned by the Department Chair. The role also includes providing medical care for assigned teams within the Department of Athletics. Primary sporting assignments will be determined by the Head Athletic Trainer in conjunction with the Athletic Director. Responsibilities include daily medical care for assigned teams, which encompasses all team activities and associated travel, including nights and weekends. The position requires maintaining appropriate electronic medical records, supervising graduate assistant athletic trainers, and carrying out administrative and other duties as assigned by the Department Chair or the Senior Associate Athletics Director.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in an appropriate discipline area.
  • Prior experience teaching in a higher education setting.
  • BOC Certification.
  • AED/CPR Certification.
  • Licensed or eligible for athletic training licensure in North Carolina.
