About The Position

Attention: The Department of Accounting in the College of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks an Accounting Lecturer (TL020) beginning August 2026. This is a full-time renewable nine-month appointment. Job Details: The successful candidate will be able to teach a variety of accounting courses as part of the undergraduate accounting program, depending on the needs of the department. Teaching load is 4 classes per semester. Office hours and service commitments are also required. The mission of the Accounting Department is to transform students through diverse student-first opportunities in the classroom and beyond. Requirements

  • Applicants must have a Master's Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Professional experience in accounting
  • Ability to interact respectfully with people with diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
  • Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training and drills
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.

Responsibilities

  • Full-Time teaching responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester in our undergraduate program.
  • Service responsibilities may include committee work and/or student organization advising, as well as participation in community organizations and the discipline as relevant to the candidate’s expertise and interest.
  • Lecturers at UW-W may be required to teach in a variety of formats, including in-person, online and/or in a hybrid format.
  • All students, faculty, and staff are expected to ensure their materials are digitally accessible and utilize standard technology platforms supported by UW-Whitewater. Examples include, but are not limited to, Navigate, Canvas, and Microsoft Office applications – including Outlook, which is essential for university email communications and scheduling.
