About The Position

Summary Statement: The Leave of Absence Specialist serves as a trusted partner to our internal guests, delivering support throughout the full lifecycle of Resorts World's leave programs. This role ensures every team member receives timely, knowledgeable, and compassionate guidance while maintaining strict compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations. Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to: Support the day-to-day LOA administration for internal clients and develop and maintain relationships with all business contacts Administers all aspects of leave programs. Provides extensive case management and coordinates administrative aspects of the cases and claims. Ensures compliance with Federal, State and local regulations related to leaves including FMLA, USERRA, ADA/ADAAA, and company specific leave programs. Maintains complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices Coordinates the collection of required documents for any government agency requests. Provide excellent customer service by providing timely responses while offering education along with expert guidance to all potential LOA inquiries. Develop and create reporting functions in the system catered to the departmental needs. Participate in and support the team with specific LOA and HR compliance projects/inquires. Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing Leaves of Absence administration
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and local regulations related to leaves including FMLA, USERRA, ADA/ADAAA, and company specific leave programs.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual with Spanish as a primary or secondary language
  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
