About The Position

Freestone Property Group is a vertically integrated real estate investment and management firm focused on multifamily properties throughout New York City. Our portfolio consists primarily of small to mid-sized residential buildings across Brooklyn. We take a hands-on approach to operations, leasing, and asset management, with a strong focus on execution and performance. Freestone is seeking a Leasing Intern to support day-to-day leasing operations across our multifamily portfolio. This role provides hands-on exposure to leasing, marketing, and property operations, working closely with the Leasing Manager and broader team. The Leasing Intern will assist with application coordination, lead management, and unit marketing, helping ensure leasing deals move efficiently from initial inquiry through signed lease.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing inbound leasing inquiries from platforms such as StreetEasy, Zillow, and internal systems
  • Track and organize lead flow to ensure no opportunities are missed
  • Support the application process by organizing documents and tracking applicant progress
  • Assist in reviewing application materials for completeness
  • Help coordinate approvals, lease generation, and move-in logistics
  • Work closely with leasing and operations teams to ensure smooth deal execution
  • Conduct basic market research, including rent comps and competitor analysis
  • Work with property management and operations teams to communicate unit readiness and maintenance updates
  • Assist with internal reporting and tracking leasing performance metrics
  • Support ad hoc projects related to leasing, marketing, and portfolio performance
