About The Position

We’re looking for energetic, motivated part-time students to join our team as Leasing Consultants – the heart of our communities. What You’ll Do: Leasing Consultants are the first point of contact for prospective residents and the go-to resource for current residents. You’ll:

Requirements

  • Professional, enthusiastic demeanor with strong customer service, sales, and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to effectively communicate benefits of the community to students, parents, and university personnel.
  • Team player, organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Able to read and understand lease documents, apply basic math, and follow instructions.
  • Patient, even-tempered, and works well under pressure.
  • Flexible with schedules: weekends, summer work, and part-time hours required.
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, leasing, or marketing is a plus.
  • Entrata experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet prospects, show apartments, and guide them through the leasing process.
  • Handle day-to-day resident issues and coordinate lease renewals.
  • Conduct application reviews including credit, income, and background checks.
  • Complete lease paperwork and maintain accurate resident files.
  • Follow up with residents throughout their lease term and promote renewals.
  • Maintain leasing office, model units, and community areas: daily inspections, trash pickup, sparkling common areas, and restocking refreshments.
  • Conduct outside marketing initiatives under direction of Assistant Manager and Community Manager.
  • Track and follow up on leads, send thank-you emails the same day, and calls within 24 hours.
  • Assist with roommate matching and coordinate move-in processes, including gate codes, parking decals, and utility setups.
  • Support Turn: communicate resident requests/issues during apartment turnovers and ensure apartments are ready for new residents.
  • Stay informed on competitor rental rates, features, and specials to help market your community effectively.
  • Open and close leasing office, perform model and amenity inspections.
  • Answer calls, emails, and voicemails promptly.
  • Maintain signage, banners, and leasing notebook.
  • Enter prospect information and work orders in Entrata, follow up as needed.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance for any repair requests and follow up within 24 hours if not completed.
  • Update and archive leads and applicants in Entrata.
  • Conduct outside marketing efforts as directed.
  • Complete audits of lease files and system data.
