About The Position

AvalonBay Communities is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Leasing Consultant to manage the daily operations of the leasing team at one of their apartment communities. The role involves revolutionizing the apartment living experience by pioneering exceptional living experiences and ensuring residents receive nothing short of luxury living. As a Leasing Consultant, you will be instrumental in helping residents find their ideal home, customizing tours to individual preferences, and outlining neighborhood amenities. The position requires a passion for innovation, a vision for excellence, and a commitment to creating an unforgettable experience for residents and colleagues alike.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a leasing or customer service role, preferably in the real estate or property management industry
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Saturday availability is required

Responsibilities

  • Help residents find the best place to call home
  • Customize and conduct thoughtful tours tailored to individual tastes, recommending floorplans and outlining neighborhood attractions
  • Follow through on every lead to ensure prospective residents feel cared for
  • Create a sense of community and go the extra mile to provide a spectacular experience for new residents
  • Drive leasing performance through personalized connections and recommendations
  • Create excitement through creative campaigns, continuous outreach, and social media to fuel community enthusiasm
  • Continuously reach out with tailored updates to prospective residents, including ideal floorplans, new hot-spot openings, and local amenities
  • Demonstrate a genuine desire to help both residents and colleagues in Creating a Better Way to Live
