AvalonBay Communities is searching for a dedicated and highly organized Leasing Consultant to take on the daily operations of the leasing team at one of our apartment communities and ensure our residents experience nothing short of luxury living. As a Leasing Consultant you will be the driving force in helping residents find the best place to call home. Your creative and thoughtful tours will be customized to individual tastes, from recommending the perfect floorplan to outlining the best new neighborhood restaurants. You know what makes people tick, and follow through on every lead to ensure that our prospective residents know you care.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• 1-2 years of experience in a leasing or customer service role, preferably in the real estate or property management industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Incredible customer service skills
• Sales and marketing chops
• Follow-through
• Saturday availability is required

Responsibilities

• Take on the daily operations of the leasing team at one of our apartment communities
• Ensure residents experience nothing short of luxury living
• Help residents find the best place to call home
• Customize and conduct creative and thoughtful tours to individual tastes
• Recommend the perfect floorplan to prospective residents
• Outline the best new neighborhood restaurants and attractions
• Follow through on every lead to ensure prospective residents know you care
• Create a sense of community and go the extra mile to create a spectacular experience for new residents
• Drive leasing performance through personalized connections and recommendations
• Create excitement through creative campaigns, continuous outreach, and social media to fuel community enthusiasm
• Continuously reach out with tailored updates to prospective residents
• Help paint a picture of what it’s like to call your community home
• Demonstrate a genuine desire to help both residents and colleagues in Creating a Better Way to Live
