About The Position

As a Leasing Consultant, you’ll be the face of the community — welcoming prospective residents, handling day-to-day resident needs, and coordinating lease renewals. You’ll play a key role in achieving occupancy goals and ensuring the community thrives in a competitive market. Training focuses on Fair Housing, leasing strategies, and overcoming objections.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand, and explain lease documents.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Team player with patience, professionalism, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Weekend and occasional overtime availability required.

Nice To Haves

  • bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in leasing, sales, marketing, or customer service a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Entrata preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding service to residents, prospects, and visitors.
  • Lease apartments to meet occupancy goals and follow Fair Housing standards.
  • Conduct outside marketing initiatives under the guidance of management.
  • Review applications, verify credit, income, and background information.
  • Complete lease paperwork, maintain files, and ensure apartment readiness before move-in.
  • Follow up with residents, manage lease renewals, and promote annual renewal campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate records in Entrata, track leads, and follow up promptly with prospects.
  • Support turn processes, including roommate matching, move-in coordination, gate codes, parking decals, and utility verification.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and management teams on work orders and resident requests.
