About The Position

The Leasing Consultant will primarily handle all aspects of onsite apartment leasing for an apartment community in Tampa, FL. This includes managing incoming calls, online inquiries, and in-person traffic, leasing apartments, and preparing leasing files for approval and renewals. The role offers an opportunity to start a career in Property Management, with training provided for individuals demonstrating a strong work ethic, compassion for residents, personal motivation, and foundational skills in communication, organization, and computer proficiency. The position is full-time, up to 40 hours per week, with compensation for overtime. The work schedule will vary, requiring availability during office hours (8:30 AM to 5:30 PM) and up to three Saturdays per month (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM), with a business day off during weeks worked on Saturday. The Community Manager will support scheduling flexibility and time-off requests.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Strong administrative and organization skills; this role is directly responsible for lease administration onsite and requires a thorough attention to detail
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • An excellent attitude and willingness to learn and, more than anything, a resolve to provide prompt and friendly service
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Required to provide proof of a valid Driver's License in good standing for consideration of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Restaurant/Hospitality or direct Multi-family Industry experience (1-2 years preferred)
  • Direct experience with Entrata or Onesite is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet all residents and prospective residents who visit or call the Leasing Office
  • Stay informed on surrounding market, community amenities, and floor plans available
  • Communicate with prospective residents to schedule apartment tours, assess their rental needs, and guide them through the leasing path to view prepared model units and onsite amenities
  • Perform market surveys of surrounding market & relay to the Community Manager
  • Invite all prospects to complete and sign lease documents; collect qualifying information and follow leasing protocol to prepare lease files for review and audit
