About The Position

Burlington Capital Properties is seeking a Part-Time Leasing Consultant for Highpoint Apartments in Omaha, Nebraska. The company prioritizes providing a quality living experience for its residents and is looking for individuals with strong customer service and resident relations skills. Qualified applicants should have previous customer service experience, and prior leasing/sales experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, high-energy, and team-oriented. Leasing Consultants can earn bonuses for each apartment leased, in addition to their hourly wage. The position requires working 3–4 days per week, including Saturdays. This is not a benefits-eligible position.

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to use computer and basic office equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public
  • Basic math and computer skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills, to include follow-up, a must
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required
  • Post offer drug testing, civil, criminal and motor vehicle background screening required
  • Adherence to policies prohibiting exposed tattoos, piercings or face jewelry other than the ears, and unnatural/distracting hair colors (such as blue, green, pink etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior leasing/sales experience is preferred
  • Minimum of two years sales/leasing experience or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform activities related to apartment rental to include providing apartment tours, qualifying prospective residents, preparing documentation and completing move-in procedures
  • Maintain resident relations by providing excellent customer service and participating in resident promotions or functions as required by management
  • Meet with current residents regarding lease renewal and rates
  • Represent the property community in a positive manner and to convey the benefits of the community to prospective residents
  • Proactively participate in the team effort to accomplish desired results
  • Participate in staff meetings as required
